Thank You for your interest in Louisiana Fried Chicken!

Louisiana Fried Chicken was created and developed by Joe Dion.  After a
decade of experience with Jack-in-the-Box and Pioneer Chicken franchises,
Joe decided to start his own.  Over a year in development, LFC was born out
of many research trips to New Orleans and experimentation in the family
garage.  The first store opened in August of 1976 in Los Angeles and the
response by the public was so overwhelming that 10 company stores were
established by 1979.  Joe sold his stores and began licensing the trademark
and recipes to independent operators.  He is now happily retired and has
turned over operations to his son,
Dan Dion.

LFC is not a franchise, it is a licensing arrangement which allows you to use
the LFC trademark and prepare and sell LFC products in your restaurant.  We are
looking for motivated, independent entrepreneurs with quick service restaurant
management experience to establish and operate their own LFC stores.

Some frequently asked questions:

What’s the difference between licensing and franchising?

How much does a license cost?

What do I receive for the license fee?

What are the terms of the license agreement?

What are the steps involved in becoming a licensee?

What makes a LFC business successful?

There are four types of licensing opportunities:

1) Opening an individual, independent store.

2) Adding the LFC brand to existing establishments ("co-branding").

3) Purchasing an existing store which is for sale by the owner.

4) Exclusive rights to a specific geographical area such as a county, state
or country, with the intent to potentially develop a franchise within
your area.
